2. Data We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you register for StoBot, we collect your email address. This email address is used exclusively as a login credential and for password recovery purposes. We do not use your email for commercial purposes, marketing, or newsletter subscriptions without your explicit consent.

2.2 Personal Information

StoBot does not require you to provide any personal information beyond your email address. While you may choose to share personal information during your chats, we do not recommend doing so as StoBot is designed for AI-driven interaction and not as a personal data storage service.

2.3 Chat Content and Visibility

StoBot stores your message history to provide a seamless chat experience. By default, your messages are private. However, StoBot allows you to set specific channels or messages as visible to the public. If you choose to make your input visible, it can be viewed by anyone on the internet. Please exercise caution when sharing information in public-facing channels.

2.4 Data We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect your credentials or API keys for external services (unless explicitly configured by you for specific integrations).
  • We do not collect analytics or usage telemetry (unless you explicitly opt in).
  • We do not collect location data or device identifiers for tracking purposes.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

4. Data Retention

  • Account Data: Retained as long as your account is active.
  • Chat History: Stored on our servers to provide you with access across devices until you delete the messages or your account.
  • Support Correspondence: Retained for up to 2 years for quality assurance.

You can request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through the settings page.

6. Third-Party Services (AI Providers)

StoBot integrates with third-party AI services (such as Google Gemini, OpenAI, or Anthropic). When you interact with StoBot, your message content is processed by these services to generate responses.

Important: We do not send your personal account identifiers (like your email address) to these AI providers.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

  • Secure Connections: All network communications use TLS/HTTPS encryption.
  • Encrypted Storage: Data is secured with encryption at rest.
  • No Plain Text Storage: Passwords and sensitive tokens are never stored in plain text.

8. Children's Privacy

StoBot is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
